Desiree (she/they, Zuid-Limburg, 1994) is a painter and visual artist whose work is deeply rooted in place and the spaces that memories occupy. Growing up on a scrapyard filled with tractors, forklifts, and heavy machinery, she carries the raw materiality of labor, oil, and mechanics into her practice. Often working in paint because of its directness, they let their intuition guide the process, allowing compositions to emerge organically.

With a background in graphic design, their approach is unmistakenly shaped by bold layouts, contrasting colors, symbolism, and glyphs—visual elements that create a language of their own.
Spirituality grounds their practice, with each piece acting as an offering—an attempt to distill something fundamental, something true, while remaining in dialogue with the histories and materials of a place.
